The plate is a piece of masonite. A variety of textured
papers were glued to the surface, sometimes after being crumpled and creased.
Acrylic media was applied with a palette knife to create the texture of the
waves. Gloss medium and Matte medium were applied where to achieve a range
of tones. The plate is wiped by hand, and printed on damp
paper on an etching press.
